I am an odd + generally optimistic kind of girl.  I guess I would describe myself as cautious, rather conservative and sometimes shy, but at the same time I am loud and playful.  I am constantly questioning everything I encounter in life, and am always wondering the "reasons why" behind things; if there is something I don't understand, I try to research it on my own to find out the whole story and/or ask questions.  I am very trusting and I forgive others easily because I am usually able to understand their motives.  Because of that, my heart gets broken a lot; but because I have people around me who truly care, I am always able to rebound.

My immediate family consists of myself, my parents, my step-parents (both of my parents have re-married), my two older sisters and their husbands and children (4 nieces, to-date).  I also have a cat named Casper.  I have a wonderful group of local friends whom I enjoy hanging out with; usually we play Rock Band or some form of tabletop roleplaying game.  I also have several friends from college whom I love dearly; despite the physical distance between us all, I think of them often and miss them all terribly.  My co-workers are awesome and are also my friends, especially those in the immediate vicinity of my desk... so many hilarious conversations go on in that office.

The love of my life is Shaun; we have been together since May 20th of 2005, although we have actually known each other for a lot longer.  We first met when he was dating my roommate in college; both of our relationships ended and somehow he and I became reconnected. We started talking again on AIM, then via email, then over the phone, until we came to the conclusion that we couldn't keep doing this 1,000 miles apart.  Hence, I moved to Florida and have been here since.
